Welcome to Springstone Springstone is a rural smallholding and the home of various small businesses including the solar powered design workshop Ecoworks. It is also home to countless forms of wildlife. All our leisure, business and lifestyle activities are driven by a desire to live as sustainably as we can. Springstone is built on the site of an ancient holy well and its position is marked by an eight foot standing stone. This is a very old site, one at which stone age tools have been found. Whilst we, the present occupants, have been here a mere 20-odd years, we still follow the same calendar and ways of marking out time that those early peoples did - in other words, the sun, the moon and the stars, and their cyclic influence on the rhythms of the earth. This new version of the Springstone web site was built by Ecoworks, using 100% solar energy, in spring 2004ce and went live on the internet at the summer solstice 2004ce.
